The Limestone Fire Protection District was founded in 1965. The District, including areas along State Highway 20, and consists of about 38 square miles of southwestern Rogers County. (Map)

One of the most important missions of the Limestone Fire Protection District is to protect the lives and property of the residents and visitors we serve through fire safety educational information and programs. Our goal is to reduce fires (and resulting fire deaths and injuries) through fire prevention activities and by identifying and rectifying unsafe behaviors.

Limestone Fire Protection District (LFPD) accepts applications for Volunteer Firefighters on a year-round basis; however, periods for application review, interviewing, and volunteer position offers are held twice annually in January and July.

The Limestone Fire Protection District Board of Directors is composed of five publicly elected and/or appointed representatives who are responsible for the financial management of the department and for approving and evaluating district policy.
