Accident Closes Keetonville Hill for an Hour

Limestone Firefighters used the “Jaws of Life” to extricate the driver from the vehicle.

Claremore, OK – Traffic was diverted for more that an hour Thursday morning due to an accident involving a semi on Highway 20 at Keetonville Hill.

According to OHP Reports, the driver of a 1993 Ford Tempo 4-door at Ridge Road (on Keetonville Hill, 3.5 miles west of Claremore) went left of center and struck a 2006 International Tractor Trailer.

The driver of the Tempo was pinned for about 44 minutes. Limestone Firefighters used the “Jaws of Life” to extricate the driver from the vehicle.

The driver was transported to a Tulsa hospital by Air-Evac. The driver of the semi was not injured.

The highway was reopened just shortly after 8 o’clock.
