Owasso, OK – Limestone Firefighters will be out participating in the “Fill The Boot Campaign” this Labor Day weekend August 31 through September 2nd, to raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
This will be the eighth year that our firefighters will be collecting spare change from passing motorists at the intersection of 76th St North and N 177th East Ave – in front of Limestone Station 3.
This money is used by MDA to provide a wide variety of services to over 550 children and adults in Eastern Oklahoma who are affected by one of the 43 neuromuscular diseases covered by the association. Those services include equipment repair for wheelchairs, leg braces, communication devices, free visits to the MDA clinic in Oklahoma City, support groups, summer camps for children and worldwide research to find treatments and cures.
Last year, Limestone firefighters raised more than $7,000 for MDA and hope to exceed that total in this year’s collections.
For more information on the Fill the Boot campaign or MDA, call the Tulsa office at (918) 749-7997 or visit www.mda.org.
So please, come out and help us fill the boot.
