Limestone Fire is sad to announce that former Chief Carl Smith died at home on Saturday, January 9, 2021.
Carl served as Chief of Limestone Fire Protection District from 1980 to 2019, dedicating nearly 40 years of his life to the Fire Service. He saw children and grandchildren join the department throughout his long tenure. Those who served with Carl knew of his great commitment, and vision for the department. He will be dearly missed by all of the Limestone Fire Department family.
